Week 7 football: Diman hosts Old Colony, Durfee and Atlantis Charter go on the road
Diman's schedule lists its first home game of the season on its own field, while Durfee, at 4-2, faces a winless Tech Boston team in Dorchester.
FALL RIVER Fall River's Durfee, Diman and Atlantis Charter football teams all play their seventh game of the season this week, and the week starts early. Diman Regional (3-3) hosts Old Colony (1-5) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, Durfee (4-2) visits Tech Boston Academy (0-6) at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, and Atlantis Charter (3-3) plays at Holbrook (0-4) at noon Saturday, Oct. 24, according to the schedules the schools post on Arbiter Live.
Diman vs. Old Colony, Thursday
Diman evened its record at 3-3 with a 33-6 win over Southeastern last Friday, a home game played at Durfee. The team opened the season with a 12-7 win at Joseph Case, then lost three straight: 10-7 to Weymouth, 40-0 at Milton and 6-0 to Blue Hills. After that, it won 20-7 on the road against Tri-County on Oct. 8, the week before the Southeastern game.
Thursday's game is listed on Diman's own football field, the first time this season the school's posted schedule has put a home game there. Its three earlier home games were listed at Durfee's field, against Weymouth and Southeastern, and at Atlantis Charter School, against Blue Hills. Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical, the Rochester school, comes in at 1-5. Its only win was a 22-19 victory at Seekonk on Sept. 11, and it has lost five straight since, most recently 46-12 at Blue Hills on Oct. 16.
Durfee at Tech Boston, Friday
Durfee is 4-2 after a 28-27 loss at Framingham on Thursday, Oct. 15. Before that Durfee had won four of five: 12-9 over Attleboro, 28-7 over Somerset Berkley, 21-7 over Braintree and 23-7 over Dartmouth, all at home. Its only other loss, 21-7, came at Taunton on Sept. 18.
Tech Boston Academy is still looking for its first win at 0-6, and it has been outscored 173 to 29, its closest game a 12-7 loss to O'Bryant on Sept. 25. Friday's kickoff is 6 p.m. at Roberts Field, the Dorchester High School turf where Tech Boston's schedule lists its remaining home games.
Atlantis Charter at Holbrook, Saturday
Atlantis Charter is 3-3 and coming off a 38-0 home loss to Wareham on Oct. 16. Atlantis won its first three games, 24-0 at Hope, 20-12 at Southbridge and 14-13 over Monomoy at home, before road losses to South Shore Tech (62-14) and Upper Cape (14-12) ahead of the Wareham game.
Holbrook is 0-4, most recently a 28-0 home loss to O'Bryant on Oct. 16, and Saturday's kickoff is noon on the Holbrook High School turf.
After this week
Durfee closes its home schedule against Brockton at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 30, then meets New Bedford at Fenway Park at 4 p.m. on Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving, with New Bedford listed as the home team. On Oct. 30, Diman is the road team against Bristol-Plymouth at 7 p.m., in a game the schedule lists at Houlker Memorial Stadium at Southeastern, and it meets Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26, in a game the schedule lists at Durfee. Atlantis Charter hosts Cape Cod Tech at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30, its last listed game.

We read all six schedules on Oct. 21. Where two schools list the same game, the date, time and site agree, and points for and against were recomputed from the listed scores.
