Three Taunton fairs and free Dighton holiday card photos fill Saturday, Nov. 14

SOUTH COAST Holiday fair season picks up Saturday, Nov. 14, with three fairs in Taunton and free holiday card photos at the Dighton Public Library, while Wareham takes sponsors for its seventh Remembrance Trees in the Park.

All of the events below were posted by their organizers or by the city or town. Admission prices were not listed for the fairs, so check with the organizer before you go. We will add fairs, bazaars and tree lightings as organizers post them.

Saturday, Nov. 14, in Taunton

The Taunton Art Association holds its Arts and Crafts Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 42 Williams St., next to Taunton High School, according to the city calendar. For information, the association lists tauntonarts@live.com and 508-822-4513.

The Community Autism Resources Holiday Bazaar and Resource Fair runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Governor Rooms 1 and 2 at the Taunton Hotel and Conference Center, 700 Myles Standish Blvd. The listing says everyone must park in the back lot and come in through the back conference door, because the hotel's front doors are not open for events. Outside food and drink are not allowed. Community Autism Resources says the event pairs holiday shopping with a chance for families and autistic people to learn about local businesses and supports in their own communities, and it hopes to help families who struggle to know what to buy for autistic relatives. The A Life Worth Living Corp. Holiday Vendor Fair, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., fills The Wave Church at 336 Weir St. with small businesses and vendors selling gifts, handmade items, clothing, accessories, home decor and food, the organizer says. Vendor spaces are limited and cost $50, and vendors can write to Pjuba@alifeworthlivingcorp.org or Jjuba@alifeworthlivingcorp.org.

Saturday, Nov. 14, in Dighton

The Dighton Public Library, 207 Main St., holds a pop-up holiday photo session from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., offering 10-minute slots with a professional photographer in front of a holiday background, for anyone who wants a picture for a Christmas card. The digital images are free to download. Slots are free, but registration is required: call the library at 508-669-6421.

Wareham Remembrance Trees

For Wareham's seventh annual Remembrance Trees in the Park, it costs $75 to sponsor and decorate a tree in Besse Park, and the town has been taking applications since Nov. 3, according to its flyer. Forms go in person or by mail to the Office of the Town Administrator, attention Remembrance Trees, 54 Marion Road, Wareham, MA 02571, with checks payable to the Town of Wareham and payment due when you reserve. For the separate Trees on the Pier, the flyer sends people to the Onset Business Association at 508-295-7072.

Coming in December
