DARTMOUTH The Dartmouth School Committee holds its next regular meeting Monday, Oct. 26, at 6 p.m. in the library media center at Dartmouth High School, 555 Bakerville Road. First readings of two school policy sections, one covering personnel and one covering negotiations, lead the new business list. The meeting is posted as an open meeting under the state open meeting law, General Laws Chapter 30A, Sections 18 to 25.
Members sign warrants for bills payable and payroll at 5:45 p.m., before the call to order and the Pledge of Allegiance at 6. Public comment follows at 6:05 p.m. and is taken in person.
The committee then takes up approval of its Oct. 5 regular session minutes at 6:15 p.m. and hears the student representative report at 6:20. The consent agenda follows at 6:25 and carries one item: an addition from the DeMello PTO to the 2026-2027 fundraising requests the committee has already approved.
Policy readings and reports
New business opens at 6:30 p.m. with the first reading of School Committee policy Section G, Personnel, and the section on negotiations. The agenda lists both as first readings, with no vote scheduled on either section Monday.
The superintendent's update follows. Dr. June Saba-Maguire is the superintendent of Dartmouth Public Schools, the district the elected committee oversees. The report of the chair includes resolutions of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees, the statewide group that takes up resolutions proposed by member districts at its annual meeting.
The agenda closes with next-meeting business at 6:50 p.m. It also reserves time for matters that could not have been anticipated when the agenda was posted, the standard open-meeting catch-all.

Notes
Every fact comes from the posted Oct. 26 meeting notice and agenda PDF (read in full, text-extracted, Oct. 22, 2026, about 6:55 a.m. EDT), the town calendar entry for the same meeting, the town staff directory for the superintendent's name and title, and the association's own resolutions page for what MASC resolutions are. The weekday was checked against a calendar: Oct. 26, 2026 is a Monday, matching the notice. All agenda times (5:45, 6:00, 6:05, 6:15, 6:20, 6:25, 6:30, 6:50) come from the timed agenda. MASC is spelled out as the Massachusetts Association of School Committees; no claim is made about what any resolution says. No vote is claimed on the policy readings; the agenda lists them as first readings. No other news outlet is a source for this story. Not heard: no one was contacted; the notice and agenda give the schedule, the items and the viewing and comment rules.
