NEW BEDFORD Halloween week at the Zeiterion stacks six shows over four days, from a live stage version of The Price Is Right on Thursday, Oct. 29, to the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live shadowcast on Halloween night, all at the theater at 684 Purchase St. in downtown New Bedford.
How we chose: every listing plays the Zeiterion between Thursday, Oct. 29, and Sunday, Nov. 1. No one paid to be included, and nothing here is a review.
Thursday: The Price Is Right Live
The Price Is Right Live, On Stage comes to the Zeiterion on Thursday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m., a stage version of the television game show.
Friday: Mystic Pizza
The national tour of Mystic Pizza: A New Musical plays the Zeiterion on Friday, Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. The jukebox musical is based on the 1988 film and follows best friends Kat, Daisy and Jojo as they work through friendship and romance while slinging slices at a small-town pizza joint. The score is built from '80s and '90s hits, including Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Hold On, Manic Monday, Lost in Your Eyes, Mad About You and Take My Breath Away.
The show premiered at the Ogunquit Playhouse in September 2021 and has since played La Mirada Theatre in January 2024, Riverside Theatre in January 2025 and Paper Mill Playhouse in February 2025. Stage Scene LA has called it a surefire hit, and NJ Stage called it funny, heartwarming and nostalgic. The run time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes with an intermission. The show includes some strong language and adult themes and is recommended for ages 10 and up.
Halloween night and the weekend
The Rocky Horror Picture Show screens on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 7:30 p.m., with a live shadowcast by RKO Army. A shadowcast performs the film live in front of the screen while it plays.
The weekend holds three more shows. The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra presents All Souls on Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. A Wicked sing-along, billed as a Blockbuster Movie Special, runs Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m., and the Speakeasy's Broadway Piano Bar Afternoon follows at 5 p.m.

Dates, times and listed prices for all six shows come from the theater's listing; Mystic Pizza's plot, songs, run time, age guidance, production history and critic quotes come from its own event page. We checked each date against a calendar: Oct. 29 is a Thursday, Oct. 30 a Friday, Oct. 31 a Saturday (Halloween) and Nov. 1 a Sunday in 2026. No outlet is a source for this story. Not heard: no one was contacted; the theater's pages speak for themselves.
