PLYMOUTH Jordan Road in Plymouth will be closed completely near Route 3 from 8:35 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, and again on Thursday, Nov. 12, while MassDOT contractors finish roadwork there, the town announced Sunday.
The town said the closure was worked out with Plymouth Public Schools and that school buses and other traffic headed to schools should not be affected.
Detour heading east
Drivers going east should head west on Jordan Road and turn right onto Long Pond Road, keep right onto Route 3 south and merge into the left two lanes, then take Exit 12 to the Plimoth Patuxet Highway. From there, take the first exit toward Chiltonville and Plymouth Beach, turn left onto Sandwich Road and then right back onto Jordan Road.
Detour heading west
Drivers going west should head east on Jordan Road and turn left onto Sandwich Road, turn left onto the ramp to Route 3 north toward Boston and merge onto the Plimoth Patuxet Highway, take Exit 13 for Long Pond Road and turn left, then follow Long Pond Road and turn left onto Jordan Road.
